line spacing

When I go to format, to set up my page, I can't seem to get the right line spacing on each page the same. I'm trying for 24 lines, but sometimes I get 23. Its messing me up bad. Is there anyone out there that can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Just type. Your word processing program automatically breaks the pages where they need to be broken. Then later, if you change fonts or margins or whatever, it automatically changes everything so your pages still break where they should.

Are you, like me, a typewriter jockey making the transition to a computer?

My guess is your are manually double spacing.

See if you have a blank line at the top of your short page. If you manually double space switch to formatted double space.

Otherwise I could not duplicate the problem with Word, Works of Open Office.
