I agree. I read on Stephanie Meyer's blog, and she said that the entire Twilight series idea was conceived in a dream, and that book is getting really famous now. Dreams can give you really good ideas, and if you liked a dream you had, you should try and incorperate it into a story.

A Dream Journal

Many writers keep dream journals along with other sorts of journals. Everything in a writer's life can turn into writing in some way. Recording things -- and then going back regularly to read them -- is a great way to stoke the writing fires.
