Inspiration

You need to know how to write your story before you write it, no matter what the genre. Get an idea of some different styles by reading different authors' books.
There are many ways to write a story and different writers use different ways. I prefer to just type a rough copy of what i want (after planning of course) and then when idea pops into my head i add it to my writing. No matter what your style do some research on the genre and topic your writing of. It is very common to want to write of something but you do not have the information right, and there is nothing that pisses off a publisher or editor more.
