1.Sharing the wealth
One of my online friends is Mary Deal whose many modes of artistic expression are matched by many clever marketing ideas. I’m sharing her latest in the hope that it may spark ideas you can use to expand your own markets. For some of you, this will be a personal opportunity.

In my online life, I’ve learned that Mary writes and publishes prolifically, is a successful visual artist, loves to cook, and shares what she does. In the past, I contributed to a book she wrote about writing. She’s at it again, offering others a ride on her coattails while expanding those very coattails.

She is putting together a book of short mysteries and recipes and is inviting other writers to join her. I hope that some of you will take up this challenge. But for those of you who have no interest in mystery writing or cooking, I hope her example inspires you to think way outside the box, particularly in a way that uplifts other artists.

What combinations could you come up with that would share the wealth in your community, either your physical or online community? Mash-ups like Mary’s introduce people in one group to people in another group. This creates potential expanding markets for both groups.

What Mary is doing this time may not suit your skills or tastes (pun intended). Her spirit of sharing and uplifting others serves as an example we can follow in our own ways. When we do that, we will be sharing the wealth, both in material and in spirit, and there is definitely enough to go around.

Get the details of what Mary is doing in Interesting Web site below.

3. Interesting Web site
Here is what Mary provided for Editor’s Notes:

SUBMISSION CALL. MYSTERY WRITERS – DON’T MISS THIS.

Am planning a cook book where mystery writers may submit one of their own recipes with a photo of the prepared food.
Also required is a soft or cozy mystery short story not to exceed 2000 words, along with links to your websites.
A short Biography and head shot is not required. However, once the book is published and I am promoting it, some contributors may be perpetually featured with the book on my website along with links to their writing sites.

NO FEE

Deadline is Feb 28, 2023
