Useful resources for writers

by Lesley

I came across a couple of useful sites that may help you when you're stuck for a spelling or troubled by a typo.

http://www.yourdictionary.com/library/misspelled.html has a list of commonly misspelled words, while on http://frenchfragfactory.net/ozh/typo-trap/index.php you can put in a word and get a list of misspellings. This is particularly useful if you're writing web pages.

If you focus on the spoken rather than the written word, there's also a list of correct and mis-pronuciations on this page http://www.yourdictionary.com/library/mispron.html
