Make sure all your words are spelled correctly before you go to a publisher. If you are really keen to get it published then you need the editor to need to do less work and therefore you get the book published sooner.

I agree.

Correcting all the spelling you can is like correcting any mistakes you can. Not only will the editor finish sooner, but also the editor should charge you less. If all the editor has to do is read the page and say, "Yes, this page is correct," she should charge less than if she has to keep stopping to make corrections.
