Read your work to someone...

I write during business trips; in the evening, or on weekends, in my hotel room. When I call home (I use my computer and Sykpe with a headset) I read a few chapters to my partner. She enjoys listening to the story, and I enjoy reading to her. I also discover several awkward or dull sentences, grammar mistakes, spelling errors, and opportunities to improve my writing. It can also be very romantic. And it brings us together. Why not give it a try... E.J. Lister
