to say: I wish I was going to the party, sounds like everyday language, but in reality it is not correct, I think. It should always be I wish I were... If I were to visit the club, I must...It sounds awkward.
Do you use a comma between compound sentences? ie, I am going to the party and later I am going home.
Must you use ; in this case: My horse, who I loved dearly, was sold but I got another one. It would be: My horse, who I loved dearly, was sold; but I got another one. or leave it as: was sold but I got
