I am a young aspiring novelist and I am a bit scared...

Hello. My name is Nathan Zhang. I write for a blog, and I am a young aspiring novelist, which is what I have been since eight. I want to write a novel that will influence people to choose and believe in world peace (so it's a philosophical novel that I want to write) but I am a bit scared of the daunting task that lies before me.
I want to write a novel and self-publish and self-print, and hire people in my community to handle publishing, proofreading, final editing, printing, handbinding (paperback, perfect bound and reading from left to right, top to bottom, flipping pages leftward), pricing, marketing, distribution, and the whole gamut of the business affair. I am studying business management in college right now, and I am hoping my book sells, because then I can create jobs and hopefully create enough employment to save the US economy or at least cushion its downfall.
So my task isn't really related to writing effects; that I am pretty much OK at, since I subscribe (via RSS) to Daily Writing Tips, Writer's Block, and other websites on my Google Reader account, but I have difficulty encouraging myself to be enthusiastic and charge on with the battle plan to save the economy through publishing a bunch of books.
I hope other people who have similar goals read this, because that means we can encourage each other, form a band and help each other march on to victory. Right now I am unsure whether I can do this. I want to do something that is very similar to what Leonidas did at Thermopylae, but at the same time the task is forcing me to think in terms of Gaius Julius crossing the Rubicon, burning his bridges and meeting Pompey in the battle for Rome.
I want to succeed. I need encouragement. Is there any for me???
