First things first

by Meghan
(United States)

When I type my story on my laptop, I always wait until I finish with the chapter before I go and revise it. I think you should get the bulk of it (writing it)out then go and revise like make into paragraphs and spell check. If you correct it when you have something juicy for your story, take your time doing spell check and all the other stuff, you might forget the juicy part.

Write First, Edit Later
by: Audrey

Hello Meghan,

You've actually echoed the first of my writing tips.

If more people would write first and edit later, we'd be reading much better writing and my job as an editor would be much easier.

Of course the editing part is important, but those juicy bits are what make a piece of writing worth reading.
