Wee Jimmy
Book Review

Sharp, DJ (2002) Wee Jimmy (Illustrator: Lisa Maas) Victoria: Trafford Publishing ISBN: 1-55393-337-1 (16 pages) softcover. CAN. $9.99 US $6.75

D.J. Sharp has written a lovely family story that takes a boy from babyhood to manhood. He struggles against his mother's nickname for him until he learns why she has always called him Wee Jimmy.

Each page is illustrated in gentle water colours by Lisa Maas.

For the most part the language flows naturally. An average Grade 2 student could read this book independently.

All net proceeds go to The BC Cancer Foundation.
